One-on-one, paced to the student.
Online
Zoom plus a shared Miro whiteboard. Every problem is worked through together on one canvas, and the board stays after the lesson so the student can revise from exactly what we did. Available anywhere in the U.S.
In Person
Face to face in Brooklyn, NY — working on paper side by side, which for younger students usually holds attention better than a screen.
Taught inEnglishRussianUkrainian— reason aloud in whichever is most natural, and still sit an exam written in English.
What a Lesson Looks Like
Three things happen every time
A short conversation first
Before anything else I ask what the student is working toward and where things started feeling hard. That usually points at the real gap.
We work problems together
Not lectures. The student works, I watch where the reasoning breaks, and we fix that spot rather than re-teaching the whole chapter.
The board stays with them
Every lesson leaves a written record on Miro, so revision means re-reading their own work, not searching a textbook.
